PRODUCTS: Conveyor Pulleys

The factory is a purpose built, compact unit specifically designed for the efficient manufacture of conveyor pulleys.

It is self sufficient as it has production facilities for Plate Rolling, Profiling, Machining, Line-boring, Welding, Stress Relieving, Static Balancing, Sand Blasting and Painting.

The pulley factory is 9001:2008 accredited.


Current production capacity is 250 to 300 tons of pulleys per month.

All standard engineered conveyor pulleys are manufactured ; Drive, Tail, Snub, Take-up as well as Slatted self cleaning types.

Pulley sizes range from 114mm to 2000mm in diameter . The largest shaft size that can be manufactured in-house is 600mm diameter and 6000mm long; with the maximum assembled pulley mass being limited to 30 tonnes.

Plates up to 50mm thick can be rolled and 300mm thick can be profile cut for the production of shells and end discs. Turbine and T-bottom end discs are externally and internally welded to the shell.

Currently all welds on pulleys are ultrasonically tested prior to final assembly. 100% ultrasonic testing has been implemented. Records of each UT test are kept with other Quality Control documentation.

End discs and shells are shot blasted and painted with a primer and top coat to a Marine type standard paint specification.

T-BOTTOM PULLEY

Cold bonded rubber and ceramic lagging can be done in-house. Rubber lagging can be supplied in plain and diamond profiles.

Hot vulcanizing is sub-contracted by Lorbrand prior to final assembly.

Pulley shafts are Tectyl coated for corrosion protection.

All pulleys are packed onto custom built steel pallets which provide protection and ease of handling during transportation.
