December 2010. Going the Distance for our Customers
Towards the end of 2010, we shipped a large order for one of our clients. A freak
storm sank the vessel and the cargo was lost at sea. Our client approached us, desperate
to resupply the order in a very short time. We made a plan, shuffled our production
around, worked overtime and managed to re-produce the order of 40 tons of idlers
from scratch – in less than 5 days!! We managed to make the airfreight deadline
and have another well satisfied customer.
At Lorbrand, we’re always happy to go the distance for our customers…
June 2010. First Rollers Produced in Lorbrand’s New Chile Plant
After 14 years of supplying conveyor idlers for major projects in Chile and Peru,
Lorbrand took the decision to build a manufacturing plant in Antofagasta, Chile.
The plant is in the industrial sector “La Negra”, just outside Antofagasta and is
close to all the major mines in the central and northern regions of Chile and Peru.
This has greatly reduced delivery times and rollers are manufactured to the same
high quality standards as before.

Providing customers with:
- Remote monitoring diagnostics for scales
- Production reporting
- Plant balance and stock control reporting.
The web based solution saves customers downtime, call out costs and stock loss.
Allows end users to be sure of accurate weighing and optimised plant control.
